Kathie Lee Gifford and Nicole C. Mullens have joined forces to create a spiritually moving musical project that brings ancient biblical narratives to life. Their collaboration, filmed on location in the Holy Land, weaves together the experiences of several key figures from Scripture into one cohesive artistic expression.
The song-story, titled “The God Who Sees,” draws from the lives of Hagar, Ruth, David, and Mary, presenting their journeys through both lyrical storytelling and visual imagery. The production was filmed during the artists’ travels to Israel, adding an authentic backdrop to the biblical accounts being portrayed.
A musical journey through Scripture
The project features lyrics that reflect divine protection and presence, with lines such as “I will be a ring of fire around her and I will be the glory in her midst And the power of My presence Will bring her to her knees.”
By highlighting these particular biblical characters, Gifford and Mullens focus on individuals whose stories demonstrate faith during challenging circumstances. Each figure represents different aspects of God’s interaction with humanity throughout the biblical narrative.
An encouragement for believers
The collaboration serves as an uplifting message for the Christian community, reminding believers of God’s faithfulness throughout history. The song-story format allows audiences to connect with these ancient narratives in a contemporary and accessible way.
The production reflects the scriptural message found in Philippians 2:14-16: “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.”
