A mother from Brussels is capturing hearts across social media by sharing how she navigates motherhood without her upper limbs. Sarah Talbi, who was born with this physical difference, uses her feet to accomplish everyday tasks while raising her young daughter, Lilia, proving that determination knows no physical boundaries.
Talbi initially launched her YouTube channel with a different purpose in mind—to display her artwork created using her feet. However, as her audience grew, viewers became increasingly curious about how she managed other aspects of her life. This interest prompted her to expand her content to include documentation of her daily routines and parenting activities.
Adapting to motherhood with unique challenges
The Brussels native performs all her daily tasks—from cooking to painting—using her feet. When asked about her approach, Talbi explains that her brain simply learned to adapt naturally. She cannot pinpoint exactly how she developed these skills; it simply became her normal way of functioning.
Becoming a parent has brought its own set of adjustments to her life. “It is a huge achievement becoming a mum,” she said. “It’s my best achievement. But my disability had to adapt to having a baby. Now I have two years of experience, and I can do everything with my daughter. She holds me by my sleeve when we walk along the street. It’s unbelievable. She’s holding it like a hand.”

Normalizing differences through parenting
According to Talbi, her daughter Lilia perceives her mother’s physical difference as completely normal. The young child understands that people have various types of physical disabilities, and she doesn’t view her mother’s condition as unusual or limiting.
Through her online presence, Talbi has earned the nickname “super mom” from her followers. Her story demonstrates acceptance and resilience, showing how she has embraced her circumstances and created a fulfilling life within her reality.
