In a powerful testament to faith and healing, Lola Sheen, daughter of Hollywood stars Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, has embarked on a transformative spiritual journey. The 19-year-old recently shared her path from battling severe depression to finding solace through Christianity, culminating in her baptism in January 2025.
A journey from darkness to light
In a candid social media post, Lola detailed her struggle with depression and anxiety. “When I was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I hit rock bottom,” she revealed. “I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day.” Her turning point came through discovering faith, which led to a profound personal transformation.
Embracing faith through baptism
The baptism ceremony, conducted at her local church, marked a significant milestone in Lola’s spiritual journey. “I chose to get baptized at the beginning of this year, because I made it through this year only by the strength of Jesus, and I am so happy to go into this next year,” she explained. The event saw her surrounded by supportive congregation members as she made her public declaration of faith.
Finding purpose through faith
Lola’s transformation extended beyond spiritual healing, impacting her emotional well-being and self-worth. “I began to trust Jesus with my life, when He chose me when no one else did, and loved me when I didn’t feel worthy of love. He gave me a light, when I couldn’t find my own and rescued me from the darkness,” she shared. Today, she finds herself “laughing again in places I only had cried.”
Family healing and reconciliation
The story also highlights improvements in her family dynamics. Her parents, Charlie Sheen, 59, and Denise Richards, 53, who divorced in 2006, have developed a more positive co-parenting relationship. Charlie Sheen commented on their improved dynamic, stating, “We’re absolutely friendly. We went through so much s— together that I don’t think either one of us has any energy left to be divisive. The only thing that matters is the kids. We knew we had to park our nonsense and focus on the children, because they had nothing to do with any of our crud.”
