Legacy of Faith: Remembering Anet Jackson, Co-Founder of Faith Comes By Hearing
At 90 years of age, Anet Jackson, the visionary behind the extensive audio Bible ministry, Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), has passed away, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy.
The news of Anet Jackson’s passing was shared by the ministry via a Facebook post, expressing gratitude for her contributions marked by “courage, faith, and a deep love for God’s Word.”
Faith Comes By Hearing, co-founded with her husband Jerry Jackson, stands as a testament to their vision of ensuring that “every person on Earth hears God’s Word” in their native language. The ministry, since its inception in 1972, has grown to distribute audio Bibles in over 2,500 languages worldwide.
A memorial service to honor Anet Jackson’s life will occur at Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 16.
Her son, Morgan Jackson, who is also the senior vice president of FCBH, reflected on his mother’s spiritual journey saying, “She leaves an incorruptible legacy: lives changed for eternity. Mine included.”
Before her passing, Anet Jackson shared a profound vision with Morgan, where she described a divine revelation of her eternal home, stating, “It was a room, and I could share it with others, or I could keep it for myself.”
Anet and Jerry Jackson commenced their mission in Albuquerque in 1971, initially serving the Hopi and Navajo communities. Originally called Hosanna, their ministry evolved from a cassette lending library to a global distributor of audio Scriptures.
In a recent interview, Anet Jackson spoke on her life’s work, expressing, “I had to trust God…And God was right there teaching me, directing me by His Holy Spirit, and I’ve had a wonderful life.” She emphasized the hope found in the scriptures, saying, “Our hope is in Jesus Christ.”
Faith Comes By Hearing continues to uphold Anet Jackson’s vision, with a goal to provide Scripture in every translated language by the year 2033. More about FCBH’s mission can be explored here.
