The Big Church Festival, initially set to feature performances by prominent international artists such as Lauren Daigle, Lecrae, CeCe Winans, and For King and Country, was prematurely closed following the incident. Organizers expressed their devastation and gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support.
Among those offering condolences was the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally, who stated, “I pray for [Pastor Guanco’s] family, friends and loved ones as they grieve. I pray for those receiving treatment, and the healthcare workers looking after them. And I pray too for the other festival-goers, staff and event organisers as they come to terms with these tragic events.”
