Conor McGregor, the renowned former UFC champion, has shared a profound spiritual experience that he encountered during a recent therapeutic treatment. The revelation came as he underwent trauma-focused care earlier this year.

In a message on his X profile, McGregor detailed a life-altering event, which he attributes to a blend of cutting-edge medical treatment and a divine encounter. The sessions were described by McGregor as “incredible, intense, and absolutely eye-opening,” where he faced vivid visions concerning his own mortality and its ramifications for his children.

In what McGregor likened to a near-death experience, he expressed, “I was looking down on myself as it happened, and then I was looking out from the coffin.” This marked the beginning of what he considers a direct encounter with the supernatural.

The fighter recalled the moment in his post: “God then came to me in the Holy Trinity. He is MIGHTY!” Following this, he described a celestial vision involving Jesus, Mary, and archangels: “Jesus descended from the white marble steps of heaven and anointed me with a crown. My brain. My heart. My soul. Healed!”

During the session, McGregor was under the influence of ibogaine for approximately 36 hours, after which he returned to his usual self: “When I awoke, I was me again.”

Expressing gratitude to his supporters, McGregor stated, “Thank you for all your inspiration, motivation, encouragement, well wishes, support, and most importantly, for your prayers! THEY WORKED!” He concluded with a renewed dedication to his faith: “To God, I am yours!! I live my life per your word and nothing more.”

McGregor’s journey involved collaboration with “the most forward-thinking doctors from Stanford University” before attending an ibogaine therapy program at AMBIO in Tijuana, Mexico. According to Stanford Medicine, ibogaine is a “plant-based psychoactive compound” being studied for its potential in alleviating depression and anxiety linked to trauma-induced brain damage.
