Excitement is building in Manchester as the city prepares to host the renowned “God Loves You Tour” next year, led by the Rev Franklin Graham. Following a successful visit to London, the tour will continue its mission to share a message of love and healing.
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) organized tour, which drew an impressive crowd at ExCeL London, is scheduled to make its next stop in Manchester. Set for October 3, 2026, the event will take place at Co-op Live, offering free entry to all attendees.
Local pastor Reji Varghese expressed enthusiasm about the tour’s return, stating, “Manchester is a vibrant city where people from many nations live and work together. Amidst this diversity and our differences, there is one unifying hope for all—God’s Son, Jesus Christ.”
The tour aims to offer solace to Manchester’s residents, especially after the city faced recent tragedies. The BGEA has sent crisis-trained chaplains to support the community following the recent attack at a synagogue, which claimed the lives of two individuals.
This is not the first time Manchester has been struck by violence. In 2019, the city endured a devastating suicide bombing during an Ariana Grande concert, resulting in 22 fatalities and numerous injuries. The incident left a lasting impact, particularly on the city’s youth.
Rev Franklin Graham, addressing his forthcoming visit, shared, “We bring a message of hope for all people. We want to share the Good News that God loves and cares for the people of this great city and has a plan and a purpose for their lives.”
The “God Loves You Tour” has made its presence felt across Britain since 2022, with stops in cities such as Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Sheffield, and South Wales. The London event alone attracted approximately 17,000 attendees, with many turned away due to the venue reaching capacity.
Reflecting on the tour’s impact, Rev Jeremiah Dawood from a participating London church remarked, “I thank God for Rev Franklin Graham’s faithful ministry and the God Loves You Tours, which have left a lasting impact on countless lives in the UK. We look forward with great anticipation to his return and to all that God will continue to do through this mission.”
