Melania Trump Addresses Epstein Connections in Rare Public Statement

In an unexpected public address, First Lady Melania Trump firmly denied any close association with Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender. She has urged Congress to facilitate testimonies from Epstein’s victims, seeking justice for those affected by his actions.

Standing at the White House on Thursday, Melania Trump stated, “I am not Epstein’s victim,” emphasizing that her introduction to President Donald Trump was independent of Epstein. This response addresses claims found in a recently released FBI document suggesting Epstein had introduced the couple. The first lady also insisted she was unaware of any of Epstein’s criminal activities and reiterated her lack of involvement.

Her statement, accessible here, calls for Congressional action, stating, “I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors. Give these victims their opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress.”

The timing of her statement coincides with the Department of Justice’s decision that former Attorney General Pam Bondi would not comply with a subpoena to appear before the House Oversight Committee. This subpoena questioned Bondi’s handling of DOJ documents related to Epstein, as detailed in the subpoena addressed.

Melania Trump’s name surfaced in the recently published documents, alongside her husband’s, who was formerly on friendly terms with Epstein. While President Trump has denied any wrongdoing, an NPR investigation reported that significant documents involving him were initially withheld.

Moreover, an email exchange with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, shows Melania Trump complimenting Maxwell. Despite referring to it as “casual correspondence,” the first lady insists it was merely a polite reply.

Addressing rumors, Melania Trump revealed she first met Epstein in 2000 at a social event she attended with Donald Trump. She discredited circulating “fake images and statements” linking her to Epstein, advising the public to be skeptical of such information.

Melania Trump concluded by debunking claims of visiting Epstein’s island or flying on his private jet, saying, “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today.”
