A deadly shooting on a Manhattan sidewalk has left the chief executive of United Healthcare, Brian Thompson, dead. Law enforcement officials revealed that the gunman used ammunition marked with the ominous words “deny, defend, and depose.” These terms are reportedly associated with strategies employed by insurance companies to refuse patient coverage. The shooter, whose motive remains unclear, also used a silencer on his weapon, according to the Associated Press.
