In an unexpected turn of events, a tragic incident unfolded amidst a serene snowy landscape. The situation began without any forewarning of snow movement, yet it quickly escalated into a life-threatening scenario. Those present found themselves in a precarious position, with some fortunate enough to be on the left side, near rocks, which allowed them a chance to swim through the snow to safety.
One survivor recounted the harrowing experience, noting that after being engulfed by the snow, they managed to surface. Help arrived swiftly, freeing some individuals from the snow’s grasp. However, not everyone was so fortunate.
Sadly, Christian, a French national and the husband of the survivor sharing the story, did not survive the ordeal. “Christian died,” she confirmed with a heavy heart, attributing his death to the impact of rocks. This tragic loss was compounded by the fact that others, who had been met just the previous day at the camp, also perished in the incident.
