In an impressive demonstration of faith, approximately 7,000 individuals congregated in London for a vibrant “Jesus March,” underscoring the city’s diverse Christian community. The march, held on the afternoon of May 23, offered participants a chance to engage in worship and prayer from Marble Arch to Trafalgar Square.
This event, coinciding with Pentecost weekend, was not only a public display of faith but also a celebration of the global church’s birthday and the Holy Spirit’s presence among believers.
Harry George, one of the event’s organizers, remarked, “Jesus March 2026 has been truly wonderful! I loved getting to see such a diverse group of people, from every walk of life coming together to celebrate the Name of Jesus as a Christian family drawn from every tribe and tongue.”
Put together by Icthus Christian Fellowship alongside various leaders from across the UK, the march aimed to emphasize its spiritual focus, deliberately distancing itself from any political undertones. Icthus drew a clear line between the March for Jesus and any form of “Christian UK nationalism.”
Interestingly, just a week before, London had hosted Tommy Robinson’s Unite the Kingdom rally. Robinson, a recent convert to Christianity, has been vocal about intertwining spiritual and national revival, advocating for a reawakening of Christian values in Britain. However, the March for Jesus distinctly focused on spirituality, urging participants to refrain from bringing national symbols or protest paraphernalia.
George noted, “The rising awareness of Christian revival in the UK shows that God is on the move, amongst all nationalities and in all countries, and we recognise what an incredible blessing it is to the London church to have different cultures right at the heart.”
Additionally, May witnessed a similar March for Jesus in Belfast, attracting thousands of participants.
